Hiking all 900 miles of the Great Smoky Mountain National Park is quite challenging and takes dedication. The best part of the challenge though, are the hikes that I take with my family.
Slowing down to look and touch the orange-black fronded mushrooms blossoming from the felled trees. Marveling at the winterberry in full bloom on the forest floor. Closing our eyes to listen to the water from the creek. Spying the doe in the woods and watching her eat from the grass. Feeling the sun bask on our faces on the summit of the ridge.
Total mileage is 3.3 miles.
